Any use for H870?

So I have almost a full pound of H870 that I received for free. Still in good shape, nice ether smell when I open the bottle. The biggest cartridge I load for is a .30-06, which I just sold, so I'm down to the .30-40 Krag as my largest capacity. :) What is this good for?

About 30-35 years ago I used it in jacketed bullet loads for a 25/06. Read a article by Charles Askins and he was using it for 120gr bullets in that cartridge. Back then it was cheap in price, and saw some use in magnum cartridges.

I have been duplex loading it under paper patched cast boolits in a wide variety of cartridges and getting very good performance and accuracy. It would work exceptionally well in the 30-40. I use 4.0gr. IMR4227 as a kicker charge, but others would work too. Make sure it is a heavily compressed load if you try this.

Oh, a warning - don't duplex it in anything where it has a chance of working correctly like the Swede or 25-06.
