Digging in my die drawer I found a Herters 30-06 reloading kit (ala Lee Loader). New in box condition, never been used. Anybody know if there's any collector's value , or any Herters collectors? I might sell or trade for a good set of dies (7/8-14 RCBS, Redding, etc., in 30-06). I'd rather see the set go to a collector rather than use them...;-)

Herter's stuff is collectible, but they made such a variety of things that sometimes the collector is a greater find than the collector's item. Their reloading equipment, for the most part, is still easy to find, especially loading dies. About all I could suggest is that you put your loader up on S&S or one of the auction sites and see if the elusive collector rises to the bait.

I collect Herter's books. It's always a red-letter day when I can add one of George L.'s opinionated tomes to my small accumulation.

Put it on Ebay, call it " vintage " and use the word " rare " then price it at $250.00 and see what happens.

MDI I do have an extensive collection of things Herter. I would be interested but I am not sure about the dies, I know I have 0-06 but cannot remember who made them. I can do $$$ also.
PM me.
