Who cares..........if people are not willing to research and let an auction market run a price up and then they are willing to pay for things then so be it.

There is a huge shortage of 223 components and hardware for reloading. I think this is easing a little but it is nowhere near over! I saw Hornady LNL #16 (.223) shellplates on Ebay selling for 150-200 Bucks a month ago!! And unfortunately there were no shortages of buyers either!! Some people apparently have really deep pockets and just want it when they want it and not wait! I wish I could but I can't so I wait!!

I watch the old lyman .25 caliber molds go for a fortune while waiting patiently for the GB Mihec .25 ACP to gather enough buyers. A single cavity is on there now at about half what the 4 cav solid one would cost.

It can work both ways. Another hobby I have is collecting watches, a few days ago I "won" actually outbid everyone else for a New ESQ by Movado chronograph for less than $75.00. Its discounted price was around $300.00 and a MSRP $600.00.

I have purchased more than a few items from E-Bay with similar results.

"List it and they will buy/overpay"

Its an auction, maybe "they" will buy/overpay, then again maybe "they" won't. No one knows till shortly before the hammer falls.

I think what you are seeing is a lot of new people getting into reloading and boolit casting due to a extreme shortage of ammo and they see this as a way around of not being able to buy ammo. Bullet molds in .223 and 30 cal. and pistol calibers of 9mm, 45 acp, 38 are hot items as they are the most common for shooters to have.
These new guys are not aware of the custom makers and the prices, and can not find Lee, RCBS, Lyman being available at the web sites they normally buy ammo from. Wait until the ammo-reloading crisis is over and a lot of those buyers will be dumping those molds after they find how hard it is to get lead in some areas. They will cuss when they do not get no where near what they paid for that mold.

Prefer a more low-key presence; jeans, workboots and a button-down work shirt would blend in better. Certain weekends a camo t-shirt would be OK but camo pants will elicit giggles.
Is that price negotiable? Any good assembling Mueller buildings?

For a small fee of $1,000,000 I'll guard your safe. I'll look mean, sitting in a lounge chair beside the safe with a shotgun across the arm rests.
I'll even make it more menancing and be dressed in a loin cloth!!

Now for $1,500,000 I will sit in the chair with the shotgun, with a snarl on my face, and a 1911 strapped to my waist.
But for the extra $500,000 I'll guard that safe armed but naked!!
One of 2 things will happen then.
1. Me being naked and armed will scare a would be thief to death....or
2. I'll scare a would be thief to death, when he sees me naked.

Now IS NOT the time to buy guns for investment purposes......... I figure the more people spend now the less money and competition there will be for stuff when prices stabilize.............

Nope, just fewer brain cells. Nobody ever said these people were rocket scientists. I started a couple of threads about this (Ecraze) about various molds. Last one, a Lee 6 cav 45 went for $150.00. Several of our members then listed some of theirs and did quite well, as I understand. LOL

If you think that is bad someone paid 306$ for a used 6 cavity Lee 22 Bator mold while those NOE's were listed. I left the buyer positive feedback...[smilie=w:

My 6 cavity .22 Bator only went for $192 and the buyer left positive feedback. I did not need it as I have a Milhec 5.56 Natio mold. I was temped to list other molds, I just cannot get rid of my favorite molds.

Positive feedback? He needs a referral to a good shrink, IMHO. LOL Way to go guys!!
