you don't need to weigh them, just cut them the same size.
i'd try a few at 24grs.

I didn't weigh every one. I just wanted to get it in the .5 to .75 range. The .5 gr. size fit perfectly. I'll load some with 24 and 24.5 also.
Thanks!

I started casting for my Blackhawk so I could shoot more, cheaper.

I have the Ohaus version of that mold, if you have IMR SR-4759 that has been a real consistent performer for me. 18.5 to 21 gr. 15 gr PB boolitz

Hi Ken,
I wonder if this is the Ohaus boolit you have.

This baggie of Boolits was on a table at a gun show about ten years ago. All I knew about shooting cast back then was, your barrel would fill up with leading, and then your rifle would probably blow up.

You poor soul, you are lost!

For whatever it's worth, I wouldn't bother moving the target back to 100 yards from the current 96; with 2000-ish ft/s loads, there's much less than a half inch difference in point of impact between those ranges -- too little to compensate with any sight other than a bench rest scope.

Curious question. Are you sizing the boolits to .309 or leaving them at .311? The pic of the imprint on the nose makes me cautious about excessive pressure.

That nose is suppose to engrave just like that, it is called a bore rider as it is lightly engraved and rides in the bore to help keep the boolit square in the barrel. No worries about excessive pressure from that.

16 grains of 2400 and the #311291 is a classic 30-06 accuracy load-

But don't let that interfere with experimenting!

20.0 of 4759 has always worked for me with that boolit in 06.

20.5 grains of 2400 and a dacron filler made that 311-291 sized .310 the MOST accurate boolit in my 30-06 Springfield Sporter. I started at 16.0 grains and went up .5 grains at a time. I got as high as 23 grains before groups really started to enlarge.
