Today I sold seven bricks of Remington Thunderbolts for $30.00 a brick. I have had it in a closet for about 19 years. Some of the stuff I bought during the 1994 AWB aftermath.

Unless the guy who bought it turns it for a profit . . .
Then you feel like a chump.

Good on you though.

You only get screwed if you don't get what you think is a fair price. I did, therefore I did not get screwed. What someone does with their property is little of concern to me. Should I "feel" bad if they went out and tossed them in a bonfire to listen to them pop; I don't think so. If they choose to turn around and sell them to some one else for twice what they paid, what is it to me? What they do is something they have to deal with, not me.

Your posts concerning this says something about you, however.

Bought them in '94? I'm thinking you made a fair & reasonable profit, all things considered.

I gave a brick to a neighbor's kid that had got a Henry .22 for Christmas . Gave another box to a guy with kids at the range last weekend - they had only 2 boxes left with 4 guns. I can remember as a kid getting to shoot a box up in Pop's old .22 under his watchful Marine DI eyes - hate to see some kid miss out on a memory like that.
I think all those kids would vote for me as President when they're old enough ! Too bad I'll be dust by then.
Sometimes giving ammo away is more fun than shooting it yourself.

I just sold my neighbor a brick of Thunderbolt for $16.00 which is what I paid for it. His kid loves to shoot 22.

I traded a brick of Thunderbolt to my neighbor for $17,326.19, his new Yanmar diesel tractor, his 17' bass boat and first night-rights to his oldest daughter when she turns 21 next month. Oh! I also got his "Billy Bass" singing fish plaque! I'm having second thoughts about the deal though, 'cuz his daughter is kinda' homely. Still, I don't want to hurt the guy's feelings. Good neighbors are hard to find! Also, I don't think we're on the same wavelength about this whole "first night" thing. He must've meant the first night that she's 21, since I saw her picture in an ad for Evil Elvira's Excellent Escort Emporium. Her two kids seem to love her, though...

I think I covered my bases though by doing a good deed. Inspired by all the charity I've seen on this thread, I gave a box of fifty Blazer .22s free of charge to the elderly widow lady who lives next door to the neighbor I did the deal with. The poor dear's half-blind, demented and mean as a snake! The police took all her ammunition the last time she shot up the neighborhood, but they didn't find her rifle. It did my heart good to see how delighted she was with that little box of ammo.

If things don't work out on my deal with the first neighbor, I'll even give the old gal her rifle's firing pin back!

Best regards

Here in Canada at the local hardware store the fed 550 pack is on sale for 19.99. a few years back they were about 15.00$. I think I'll go buy a case of ten tomorow just to keep the product moving.

You can always put that first night up on Ebay to make up for your loss on the ammo!
