Need a part for S&W model 1899 M&P

I have a S&W mod 1899 M&P that is missing the knob on the end of the ejector rod. It was missing when I got the gun so I have never seen it, but I have seen pictures of it on Wikipedia.
This is the first model gun that does not have the barrel lug for the ejector rod to latch into.
Does anyone have one of these or have a source for old Smith parts? I would really like to return the gun to its original condition.

Check with Numrich but they do not normally have in stock the parts I have needed.
