I would like recommendations for a cast load that shoots near point of aim. I would like to buy bullets first (like from Mt.Baldy), try them and if they work well get the mold and do it myself. I am told the carbine is regulated for 400 (405) gr bullets. Thanks.

When they were reintroduced (I got one about 1993 I think), they were regulated for the 300 gr. hi velocity loading. Mine didn't shoot anywhere close for heavier boolits until I changed out the front sight. Maybe they cured that now.

I tried two 300gr factory loads (Winchester and Hornady). Both shot 6-10" low. i was told the sights were regulated for 400gr bullets. Now I'm really confused.
