My 429244 boolit after putting on the gas check and lubing/sizing is 265 grains. This is a 50/50 WW/pure alloy. My cast boolit Lyman manual gives load data for that boolit, but all the manuals say that boolit is 255 grains. NOT! Can I use the load data for the 265 jacketed boolit for a load of 2400 powder ??. Max for 2400 for the 265 grain jacketed is 18.3 grains of 2400, I'm looking to get up to around 18 grains if need be.

First.

Yes, in general, you can use the jacked data for the cast bullet of the same weight but I don't recommend you use cast data for Jacketed.

Second.

Do not start anywhere near that load.
Since you do not mention the cartridge, I would not mention a charge weight but if you have only a max load, reduce it by at least 10% to start.
If you have a starting load and a maximum load, reduce the starting load by 5%.

I may not be able to get to 18 grains with that soft of a lead boolit. Don't know yet. But now I know I can start with the suggested starting load for that 265 grain j-word boolit listed in my Lyman loading manual. Being it is heavier than the common 240 grainer, it will need enough juice behind it so it doesn't drop like a rock out to 100 yards or have a rainbow trajectory from the contender .....
