C358-158 SWC cast boolit load and magnum pistol primers

Okay I am using the 358-158 105 grain boolit with .38 special with 3.8-4 grains of Winchester 231 I am using magnum pistol primers, I ran out of standard pistol primers. I've used magnum pistol primers with110 grain jacketed bullets, and they worked fine in those.. Should these be fine as well?? I am thinking it should be fine..

Although this is NOT what you will find as accepted in most every loading manual, many of us have had to make do with what we got, including using mag primers with standard loads.....

MY rule of thumb is to reduce a load by ten percent, ESPECIALLY when approaching max-pressure loads, when switching components like this, to be on the safe side, you know?? It's prudent and has kept me safe with ZERO issues for thirty reloading years.

Fair amount of air space left in the case with that boolit and that powder.........
