Yep, but I went with a .357 Mag instead. I do like Charter arms 9mm and 40 S&W with the integrated extractor, so there's no moon clips. I held a couple of those recently, but didn't get to fire them. I bought the M605 version .357 without ports and really like it so far. Pop can accurate at 20 paces with full house loads. ;) Lot more fun with .38's though. hehe

Please let us know what you think when you get to hold one. I have been waiting to see on of the 9mm ones here.

They don't make a lot of sense to me. What do they offer that traditional revolver cartridges can't do better? I suppose you get interchangeability but then again, if you're shooting .40 S&W why not just stick with your autoloader?

There's OBVIOUSLY a market or they wouldn't be making them but the idea is lost on me.

You do bring up a good point.

What a small .40 backup revolver might give is ammo commonality with a big primary .40 semiauto. The Michigan State Police used to use a small 9mm revolver as the backup gun for Troopers, their primary guns being a big 9mm SIG.
