After having the itch for several years, I finally got myself a Win. 94 trapper in 30-30. This will be my first foray into casting for rifles as well as my first dedicated boolit slinger. Told the wife that I bought it for my son, but seeing as he is only 7mths old, I think I have some time to play with it first.

nice work - i used the same excuse when i purchased my marlin 39m - my daughter is left handed so she'll do well with a lever over my right handed 22lr bolt marlin 25n.

the win 30-30 will be great. do you have any molds? i am using three Lee molds - TL314-90-swc; 309-150-FP and 309-170-FP. the little one is a plain base, the other two get gas checks. All three sized to .311 for my 1894 (20"barrel).

No molds yet, as I wasn't sure if I wanted a .32 Win or a 30-30. Just happened the 30-30 came up first. I'm looking at NOE's 177 gr fp mold, just need to get the funds put together. BTW, this has a 16" bbl on it.

My brother just got an old marlin .30-30
We loaded up some Lyman 311041
Haven't had the time to shoot it yet.

Well, you should have a good load or 6 worked up for it by the time he's old enough to pack it around.:smile:
