Was at Walmart today ammo Dixie said the are getting ammo daily and in larger quantities with every delivery. Appears the great shortage may be coming towards an end.

Stopped in a Meijers today (Michigan and Midwest like Wal Mart). The shelves were bare of all handgun and 22 LR. They had a bunch of 35 Remington, 30-06 and 270 Winchester. Shotgun supply was low but available.

Local store Fleet Farm always had prices equal to Wal-Mart on Winchester white boxes (lowest in town). They had a bunch in stock last week one day but they raised prices!

45's went from $40 to $47, 9 and 40's were about the same change.

Is Wal-Mart holding their low prices? -Brad

there was a price increase amongst all the empty shelves.
we would be talking about that.
but when you don't see any ammo you hardly notice the price.

OUCH,

Is that the 50 rd box, or the 100 rd box?

Honestly, it's been 20 years since I paid attention to any factory 45's. I didn't think they were that high, for the "cheep" stuff

I bought some factory 45acp awhile back, $20/50. Hurt so bad I bought a Lee 6-banger mould and pulled the cover off my Dillon. Was pleasantly surprised to find 2000 pieces of empty brass stashed here and there. Should be able to keep it under wraps again for a few years. Can't imagine paying today's prices.

Sorry, the "value box" of 100. I only buy 22lrs but none of my close friends reload so I always look at prices. Well, plus I only started reloading 2 years ago so it's still in me to look. -Brad

Was at a local walmart here about 30 mins ago to grab some dinner and saw some tula 40 and tula 223 on the shelf, same exact price as before the craziness. Local bass pro is also getting more shipments in the last few weeks. Even found some Bullseye at the local gun store yesterday which they haven't had in over a month.

Cabelas has a two box limit but for some reason they are calling one box of 100rds of 22lr two boxes! Does that mean a brick of 500 is ten boxes so you can't buy it?

Can't remember where I saw it, but someone mentioned that happening to them at Dicks Sporting goods. They tried to buy a 500 round value pack (10 50ct boxes) and the register wouldn't ring it up. They wanted it broken down to only 2 100 round boxes as a limit.

This is the reason I started to cast and reload last year! I had stopped shooting on a regular basis for about 8-10 years due to life happening! Last year I started to shoot my Kimber 45 in the local IDPA shoots used up most of the ammo I had from days gone by. It was marked $5.95 (case price) and $7.95 (single box price) went to buy some more and the cheapest I could find was 20 plus dollars!! Now that would be considered a bargain!! I hav'nt calculated out price per round reloading but I'm sure I'm less than 10 bucks a box of 50?? And its fun to do!!
