Hey guys,

I came across this site, maybe I've named it wrong. But it appears that way on my browser. either way, I think the owner also is a member here? So hopefully he will chime in also!

But I see there are about 4 kinds? I'm not sure which kind would be best for my 45 acp boolits. Could the same work for 9mm? I'll be pan lubing.

If you can't tell, I'm a noobie lol. This will be my first casting session. So I'm not even sure how much I'll need to buy?

So in short: which lube is best for 45 acp (and some 9mm). And how much will I realistically need for pan lubing?

I use the carnauba red for all the above. 10 sticks will last a long time for me.

Realistically, considering your limited needs, forget pan lubing and buy the 45-45-10 lube they sell for tumble lubing. See this thread:

A LOT faster than pan lubing and it'll work great for your pistol loads!

if it comes down to pan lubing or tumble lubing.
well I pick tumble lube.

if I were gonna pan lube, i'd stick to his 50-50 or 2700.

5050 is a good lube for that purpose.

BAC works well too for pistols and pan lubing, but I usually use a lubrisizer or tumble lube...45-45-10 which is available through White Label Lubes too.

^^ That's exactly what I ordered. A couple pounds of BAC, now just to see how long the wait is.

I use 2500+ for everything. It's a little stiffer than BAC which is what I wanted for the summer months. But it also performed perfectly at 10 degrees. I use a LAM so I don't know if it would work for pan lubing. My only complaint, which isn't really a complaint, is it's not a pretty color like other lubes :(
