If anyone is looking for one, I handled a new left hand Gunsite Carbine today when I dropped off a rifle for a trigger job. The dealer is Moss Pawn and Guns in Jonesboro, GA 30236 (770) 968-4949/3474. I get nothing from this, but my gun plumber works out of there and they treat me right. They also have large rifle magnum and large pistol magnum primers in stock if anyone needs them. No other sizes. GF

GF that's a helluva find. People have no idea how few left hand GSR's they actually make.

Somone should jump on this!

I trust your friends will be gentle on the pricing?

I have a LH Gunsite Scout and LOVE IT! How many LH models were made WR?

Lefty: Bruce B also has one he loves.

I'd have to check but I would bet <1,000 a year. Typically Ruger runs are 1000 at a time. However in this case there is also a Canadian version of the GSR that has an 18'' bbl, with no flash hider. I think 500 of those and 500 for the US would pretty much cover it for a year. They are also making Stainless ones now and the site lists 4 models RH&LN black and RH&LH Stainless ones. I would expect the same models in the Canadian Versions so that would be 8 total.

Now they have a new gun which is called the Guide Gun. It uses a Camo Version of the Scout Stock, and is available in Long Action calibers from .30-06, all the .300's, .338WM and .375 Ruger. All with internal magazines. I would like to see a short action version in all of the .308 case variants. I think a good case could be made for one in .358Win and or .338 Federal (.338-08).

All of these guns are in "**** Kicker Calibers" Except maybe the .30-06 so I probably won't be buying one anytime soon.

I do like the Camo Wood laminated stock.

I was told the production numbers for the GSR were in the 60,000 range to date.

I'll call my guy next week and see if I can find out any real numbers.

Looked at that Guide Gun on Line - Thought that 375 Ruger and cast would make a heck of a hunting rifle. Cast 250+ boolit at 2K speeds. :)
