I just saw that Grafs had some RCBS molds in stock so I ordered a .38 caliber 158 grain SWC GC and a .44 240 grain SWC GC . If they shoot well they'll be off to Magma to fit to my Master Caster that is on order.
Anybody use those molds?

I use the 44 mold.
I use the lyman 429241 for most everything in the short 44 mag, but when I want to ramp up to the 445 I use the rcbs gas check mold.

wow I better get mine on the e-bay then i'm RICH.

no seriously, that 44 rcbs is a gem, I can cast in it lukewarm, and the boolits fall right out.
they are a good diameter and always well filled out.
I really, really like the mold I wish all my others would cast like it does.

I have their 38-150 KT plain base and the 38-162 GC mold and like them both. I just noticed that all my .44 moulds are Lyman. Hmm. Odd, because I prefer casting with my RCBS moulds (other calibers as well). To me they seem easier to maintain that perfect casting temp consistently. If my RCBS 45-200 ever gives out on me, I'll be inconsolable.

So far all of my casting has been with Lyman molds and 1 Lee mold. I dont have alot of experience casting. But seeing how highly almost everyone speaks about RCBS molds I figured I couldnt go wrong for 70 bucks apiece.
My casting so far has been mostly for my muzzleloaders and a BPCR rifle that is now sold. But Ive been shooting a lot of store bought cast for a while. I decided I didn't want to be hostage to the UPS truck and order backlogs anymore. So I bit the bullet and ordered a Master Caster with 2 molds

I have both. They shoot well. Both have good reputations and so does RCBS. They make things right to start with and have an iron-clad guarantee to back their stuff up. You'll enjoy using them. LLS
