Some of you "old fogies " ( like myself ! ) will remember these. I still have 1000 + and they work as well as when I bought them back in the 1970's. Have also been shooting some old Remington "Mohawk " 22 lr from the mid 1970's - works great. Amazing shelf life on properly stored ammo and components.

I still have some 600 small pistol primers...probably from the late 70's.

Funny you should mention it, I just finished a box exactly like the one you pictured and have a box of LP ready to use. My last brick of Mohawk is still buried somewhere though.

I am currently using up some of the Alcan Max-fire small rifle and small pistol. I found them in a resale shop for $10 for both boxes of 1000 a year ago. They work just fine and are comparable to the CCI that I use.

I have a lot of Alcan components I inherited from my grandfather. It is mostly shotgun supplies; shotgun primers, wads, etc. Even though it is a bit old, everything has worked well so far.

Older then dirt! I shot thousands of Alcan shotgun primers. Back in the days of George Herter.
What a wonderful time.
I forget the wife's birthday and when we were married but remember every second of the old shooting days.

I've got 1,000 of the old Herter's primers that were made in Japan. I'm going to hold onto them, since I didn't even know they made primers in Japan...........!

Hope this helps.

I am Just starting to use the last of my Remington small rifle primers #6 1/2. I bought appox 10,000 assorted at a gun show many years ago at $2.00 per m. The green and red boxes. and they are all ok. I think now it's time for some new stock. But not at old prices

And S&W Collectors like the empty boxes!

Few years back I sold the carton, filled with the empty flats on E Bay to a collector...for $8 or $9...Not a Mint but still....free money.
