New SR1911, the shorter one.

About a year or so back I set about correcting a serious character flaw, I had never shot or owned a 1911. I picked-up a new and hard to find Ruger SR1911 and have been shooting it regularly with big smiles. I passed a gun counter yesterday and the clerk was showing one of the shorter Ruger SR1911s to a fellow. The fellow did not buy, so I did.

Now this will work-out great, I can shoot the two Rugers Gunfighter style, one in each hand! YipieKiaYey!

I just checked the Ruger website. If yours is as nice as the photo there all I can say is wow, good catch. I like the Commander length gun a little more than the full size model for carry. I wonder if they will offer one in aluminum?
