Okay I've been reloading for some time now and seeing as you guys have some of the Greatest information for reloading on these ole Military guns, I'll hope for some Ideas. That being said I have a P38 out of my Dads collection, it's in good shape etc. I know there are Issues with shooting Hollow Points etc through them. Theres Not alot of ammo out there right now and I don't want to PUSH the Ole Guy. So I figured I'd load some 9mm 115gr Plated RN for it. I have Unique, Herco, Blue Dot and Titegroup powders any suggestions as far as Loads etc? Powder, and COL? Thanks for any help.

I have reloaded plenty of those for the P38 over the years. I have to get out my books though and look it up. Will PM you the results I found. I used Berry's plated IIRC. Joe

Thanks Joe I'd appreciate it. I just want to get some Ideas on what others are doing and have tried with this P.38.

I would suggest slugging it. The bore on my minty specimen is huge. I have to shoot .359" boolits. Thats not a misprint, it's looser than any of the .38/.357 handguns I have.

Mine has a barrel that looks like sewer pipe. Shoots nothing at all with any king of accuracy.

Following along. Just slugged my BYF and it's right at .358. Bore is mint and crisp. Looking for a mold. Going to try the RCBS 09-124 but afraid it may be too small. I see the MiHec has just started a GB for a 359 9mm. Hmmm....
