Went to see some of da chillun's this week in Augusta, GA. While there I visited a site that I had seen from a distance a few times. You know...reflect a little on the era, the struggles, pay tribute, etc. Took a few pics, thought I'd share them if you care to look.

Thanks for posting that as I do appreciate the pictures, never having been there. There was an extensive article published by the National Muzzleloading Rifle Association magazine, "Muzzle Blasts" about ten years ago with much detail on the powder works with the general conclusion that Confederate powder was of the most uniformity and quality of any powder used in the Civil War ,as US powder was "the lowest bidders" product about which the Army complained with good reason throughout the war.
