S&W experts and owners, from my research this is probably a mount for an N-frame revolver. Correct me if I am wrong, I was going off of web pics of the rear sight and the small screw placement. I bought it for the nifty little LER scope with AO adjustment, but I was wondering what it was mounted on. Maybe I need an N-frame now to put it on instead of using it as a scout rifle scope. I also never knew Paul Jaeger did enough handgun work to have his name on the scope, thought his business was custom rifles.

No idea , my N frame 44 magnum has the rib with cut outs in it for mounts , do not use scopes on my handguns so no use to me

I cant tell about the measurements, but it looks a lot like the mount on my 629. Mine is a Weaver, so it is shaped slightly different, but the cuts for the crossbolts and the hole spacing look about right.

Good luck!
