I know a guy that has a washer & dryer graveyard he must have over a 1,000 of them. I was wondering if anyone knows if they have lead bars or steel bars for the balancers? If they use lead then I may have found a gold mine oh well make that a lead mine free for the taking.

Not any of the ones I have junked

A lot of scrap steel and scap motors

If you can salvage
You might be able to trade for lead

He uses them for parts so scraping this is a no good for now. I just thought if they had lead I'd start pulling the lead from them.

No lead worth salvaging in them. If your friend had a boat grave yard some sail boats have a lot of lead as ballast.

I've heard that some Forklift tires have lead in them.

Old General Electric top-loading washers used a concrete block, newer ones, and Whirlpool and Maytag use springs. Front-loaders use a shock-absorber type suspension. I've never heard of, nor seen, any lead being used.

Think Rotary Tumbler parts.

Think Rotary Tumbler parts.

I have already thought about that but just so happens I don't have a need for a tumbler. I haven't started reloading yet and when I get started I'll be loading for 410 shotshells after that I may move into a few rifle ammo reloads if so then I'll build a tumbler.
