Picked up a Hakim at the gunshow.
The wire shell deflector is broken off.
Any idea who I would re-attach it????

Check around for gunsmiths in the area. They might be able to braze it back on. A welding shop might TIG it for you if that doesn't work.

I bought one of those years ago , had the bayonet till it got stole , is a good shooter , but loud with that muzzle brake , good luck with the repair.

Watch out for your fingers when releasing the slide! It makes an "M-1 Thumb" look like a love pat.Robert

I had one a while ago. Wanted it back the day after I sold it.
I'm gussing most of us are that way.
Got this one for a good price.
It looks like the deflector is just spot welded to the cover. Surface is flat. No gouge or missing metal.
What I was thinking of doing is drill a hole through the cover, smaller than the deflector, where the weld is.
With my MIG, spot weld it from the rear.
Hoping to keep as much of the finish as possible.
