The only place I have seen is to buy direct. Any other options / suggestions / resellers that contribute here and deserve the business?

hmmmm....thought i replied....

good luck finding a used Star.....lots of folks here on the forum have tracking software to find them as soon as they hit the market....LOL

that said with the recent run on all things shooting (firearms, components, ammo and such) the lead time on the Star from Magma is about 8-12 weeks....BUT, IMHO, well worth the wait....

call Magma...good folks to deal with and GREAT customer service too...

Good thing I got my matrix undies on today!

That Vintage Star Lube-sizer with light surface rust is already at $305 + $12 shipping with 4 more days for it to get jacked up even higher. :(

Star went out of business years ago. It was restarted once and shut down and there's a possibility that someone is starting it up again. But finding a good Star is not easy, since most are used and in some cases abused. I've loaded on a Star starting in 75. Love them and 100 times better than Dillons. I know of someone that buys them used and refurbishes them.

Considering the fact that Star went under years ago, not a surprise at all. Good used ones are hard to find.

I think they are talking about the sizer not the reloader. You can get a new Star sizer from Magma, there is just a pretty long wait cause of all the craziness now.

Know of someone that's refurbishing Star equipment. Does nice work. I've got a lube sizer and have ordered a Universal.

Seems someone's once again trying to restart Star... but no word yet and frankly I'm partial to the ones made by the original Star.

I have a very old star branded lube sizer that the cavity that holds the dies is leaking lube. It basically has lots of miles on it and could use an overhaul. I would buy a new one, but they are extrodinarily unavil. Anyone know someone that servies them? Please email or message me.

I think mine was before o rings or the last owner didnt tell me to use them. Also its leaking out of the bottom through a groove in the aluminum base that was cause by the previous owner.

Magma Engineering is the current manufacturer if you can't find a used one reasonable. http://www.magmaengineering.com/component/banners/click/14/

Also, the Lyman base heater is drilled and tapped for it. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/182761/lyman-lubricator-heater-115-volt

First, this thread is about the Lubrisizer, not the reloading press.

Second, Star never went out of business. Reloading equipment was always a sideline for them, they stopped making the presses years ago, more recently they sold the rights to the Lubrisizer to Magma. Star's primary business is commercial irrigation equipment which they are still doing to this day.

If someone is attempting to start making the Star reloading press (I hadn't heard that) more power to them, success will depend on the quality/price of the finished product.

No. I don't have barely enough time to make boolits.

I put in a new alarm in the shop just because of post like yours.
Its got a hardline with a cell backup. It also does wifi alert too.
I even put in battery backup good for two days.

I recommend some cameras that will email pictures whenever they detect motion. Among others, I currently use one of these:

http://www.amazon.com/Foscam-FI8905W-Outdoor-Wireless-Network/dp/B003YUEF0E

They can be had cheaper, especially for those that are indoors.

I also recommend the phone app:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rcreations.WebCamViewerPaid&hl=en

I had someone come into my driveway on a Sunday afternoon and steal a $5K enclosed trailer. There were several cars in the driveway and I was in the house taking a nap after that morning's match. I got the cameras after that and have only succeeded in catching one of the kids getting a beer out of the refrigerator in the basement.
