There's a gun show in Pasadena, Texas April 6 and7. I'll be in back selling reloading supplies and we have them -- if you live near here!!

Sportsmans Warehouse has them.
The #11s will not work in the 1863. I tried. Musket caps definately have the oomph.
Get them while you can.

Try to get RWS caps, the CCI arent hot enough in some

Even musket caps don't always work. I had a Pedersoli that gave misfires unless I put some fine gunpowder in the nipple before capping it. When I sold that and bought a Shiloh, my troubles went away.

Try to find RWS musket caps. They are powerful enough to fire the paper-cutter Sharps. CCI "Reenactor" musket caps are purposely made weak as per the needs of the blank-only reenactor crowd. They will not fire the 1863 Sharps reliably unless you use Nobade's method of putting fine grain powder in the flash channel ahead of capping it.

I agree with the rws caps. they are all I use both for musket and regular. now with the sharps there is another problem that is easy to fix. that is the sharps design did not allow for the wings on the musket caps. at one time there was a wingless cap made but no more. the way we got around that was to nip the wings on the cci caps. the rws caps have smaller wings and can be used as is.
