Hi, I'm new to this forum, and found it looking for re-lining. I have an 1870? .22 Winchester falling block that is re-lined, and it has been great. I have an 1862 Sharps Carbine in 50-70 that could use re-lining. Although I'm certain it can be done, who can do it? I also have a 1917 Luger that has corrosion in the barrel. Can this high of a pressure be successfully relined?

I do more than a few relines. T.J.'s has a 50 caliber liner with a .500" bore and a .510" groove diameter and 1 in 20" twist. The twist is a bit faster than the original 1 in 36" of most 50-70 rifles but it should work fine. The OD of the liner is 11/16", if your barrel is smaller than this at the muzzle it will need to be turned down some. The 9mm will be a tougher job, not a lot of wall thickness to work with.
