Here's looking for advice.
-
has anyone done a spacing washer modification on the Ruger 77/22?
-
My K'ed Hornet shoots J-words like a dream, but "real men shoot BOOLITS"....LOL and the K not so much.
-
I cannot get rid of the fliers. Nice group, but then a flier opens it to an inch, 3 touching, then a flier.
-
I get frustrated thinking its me and so I go back to J-words.. w/o cleaning the barrel and 3 in a tight cloverleaf, 5 about the same.
-
Not sure what to do, but I sure do not want to mess with the bolt and screw up my J-word performance.
Looking for anyone with experience in this area.
Thanks in advance.

As I understand it, "the BOLT fix" for 77/22 is dissassembling the bolt and milling the mating faces so they are square and true...and this is for guns that shoot patterns instead of groups.
If you are getting fliers with boolits only, it's time you look to the lube or boolit imperfections.
Good Luck !

Check on Rimfire Central Forum.

Lots of real serious rimfire shooters there, and if you go to the 77/22 section, you can get info as to 77/22 bolt options.
