The reality is that police cannot be everywhere in an instant. We don't want them to be. Quite frankly, I'd be satisfied if our police turned into "human garbage disposal agencies," which is to say when they arrive at an incident like this one, they simply take the dead or dying scumbag and toss him in the garbage.

Instead, our justice system prefers to harangue and harass the victim to the nth degree. Is it any wonder the Castle Doctrine law and derivatives of it have swept across the nation.

Listen to this 9-1-1 dispatch tape from Ponca City, Oklahoma. (http://pages.poncacitynews.com//sound/N%20Pine%2013004595%20edited.wav)

More of this and there will be fewer criminals. If there is any lesson to be learned here, it is that you should always use enough gun to get the job done.

First thing I read each month in American Rifelman is the armed citizen and the latest just happens to lead with a local story.

Each month these reports prove that a firearm in the hand is way better than a 911 operator on the line.

Sounds like one offender has been rehabilitated, glad the homeowners are OK.

Hmmm, I couldn't get it to come on. It goes to the site but nothing happens. Maybe the site is swamped. I use linux. I will try again later.

Got it that time. Pretty interesting. Too bad he shot him in the a**. The part I liked was that his wife had a gun too.

As we travel down the road to socialism more and more will be left with nothing or a 911 operator that just doesn't get it that a life is in the balance. For too long we as citizens have allowed the Government to walk all over us, take our freedoms little by little until we are hanging on by a mere thread of freedom. The day we see our firearms registered is the beginning of the end. Any permanent form of keeping track of us is a form of registration which is one step from confiscation. Watch closely the next few weeks as we may see the beginning of the end in Congress or The Small Arms Treaty that the UN wants to shove down our throats as Americans just have to many freedoms. Little do they really understand how few we have.
