300 win mag cast bullet loads

Hello, I am looking for some info on loading 300 win short mag with cast bullets, mostly for target shooting, any info will be appreciated, Thanks Steve

I have no experience with the short mag, the 300 Win Mag has a very short neck and did not treat me well as a beginner.

Not on the WSM, but the old 300 mag, I am using a 311041 AC WW/Pb 50/50 over 19 grains of unique and a large rifle primer. This rifle is topped with an ATN nightvision and I let my neighbor use it one time for hogs. He shot five and said it was "sick" what that boolit did. I wish I could help with the WSM, but I am sure someone can.

Thanks Fellas, I hope someone replies with actual experience in loading the win 300 short mag, I am not much of an experimenter, that nightime hog hunting sounds like fun though, wish we had some around here

I had a regular Winchester 300 on the Remington 40X that did wonderfully well with 24 gr 2400 and just about any 30 caliber bullet design I cared to feed it.

Your WSM may be a different animal but maybe this could be a starting point.
