Been casting up several of these, buddy has my cast bullet load manual, what is a good load with unique.

Can't go wrong with around 5 grains of unique. As always start a bit lower maybe a few loads at 4.6 and work up. Unique tends to burn cleaner at higher loads. Love how it fills up most of the case and a double charge is very obvious. One of the old timers on another reloading board swears by Unique often saying "is there any other powder other than unique?" and from my limited experience, he is very right.

The Lee 2nd Edition doesn't list Unique for the 124grn Lead, but for the 125 Lead it shows Start Load at 5.3 grns with do not exceed 5.5grns for vel between 1106-1139 fps. Min OAL 1.150.

with the lee t/l mold that is the number one thread starter on the board.
i'd go with 4 grs to begin with.

In my 9mm T/C carbine, 4.6 gr of Unique and the Lee 120 gr RNFP (actually 125 gr) is my favorite for plinking and short range varmint hunting in our local thick brush tree farms. The MV is 1200 and accuracy is excellent (1-1/4" groups) out to about 80 yards when gravity really takes over.

4.0 gr. Unique works good for me. My 125 gr LEE RNFP drops at 129. It seats deeper in the case so I have never taken it over 4.4 gr.
The LEE 125 gr. RN doesn't seat as deep so I run it at 4.4 and have taken it up to 5.0 gr. Unique.
