Wow–this is one aggressive HP. I shot these into a gallon jug of H2O with 4 wet phone books behind it,
velocity about 1050 fps, loaded over 4.1 gr. 231 and composed of 50/50 range lead/Pb.
Interested in hearing other folks experience with this bullet.

Just cast up about 800. Need to size load and try'em out for myself. They sure look nice...
Those look great. Have you done any expansion testing without the HP?

Here's a before & after. This has proven to be a forgiving bullet design, nary a tumble even with really soft lead pushed hard. Very satisfying push loaded over 3.8 grains of BE. about 950-975 fps. The HPs weigh out at about 130 with soft alloy. Haven't cast any solids yet. I have pan-lubed and tumble-lubed, as shown. All work well. The mold itself is a work of art.

I received my NOE 358-128 HP Mold and tried it last Saturday. I followed the break-in instructions and started casting some boolits. The alloy is made up of COWW and a little 50/50 solder and the boolits are water quenched. The boolits cast at a little over .358 and weighed 127 grains. This is my third mold after using two Lee Molds. I must say that the NOE Mold exceeded my expectations. I have attached a picture of the boolits from my first casting session with this mold after they have been lube-sized to .357 with Carnuba Red Lube.

Thats the mold I want to. What are you sizing and lubing on? What load will you use--oal & powder & charge? Would also like to hear how they feed and shoot.

How deep into the phone books did it penetrate?

I really want to try the mold he has for 45, but funds are a little tight at the moment. But at least I know I can get one.

I am sizing on an RCBS Lube-a-Matic II with an RCBS .357 Sizing Die. I'll be trying 5.5 Grs. HS-6 Powder to start. I don't yet know what OAL until I try seating a bullet and checking the fit in my barrel.

Deep...into several phone books. You see how they look on the other side in above photo. I retrieved one from a stump, it had turned inside-out. I really don't work for NOE...but the accuracy is killer, too. Check out this target from last night at the range. that there's 15 rounds.

Right now, for 9mm I'm using 6.0 Grs. HS-6, with an OAL of 1.095, Win. Cases, Federal SP Primer, NOE 358-128 HP Boolit heat treated and sized to .357, and lubed with Carnuba Red. I loaded these for my Sig P250 Compact. This gun has been notoriously difficult to find a load that doesn't lead at all. This load leads slightly in front of the chamber but I can live with it. The 1.095 OAL leaves a little of the front driving band extending from the case but chambers properly. You can see in the attached picture how they look.

Them are awesome! I love hollow point boolits. How big is the throat on that sig? If it is like mine I had to run a 358 boolit (357 SIG), and that size worked well in (9MM) glocks too.

Would you are anyone else know how this bullet mold profile would work in a Belgian made Browning 9MM. My concern is it being absolutely reliable relative to feeding through the action without having to modify the pistol.

Can feed them manual in mine OK

But haven't had time to get to the range.

Stay away from the range Swede, I'm still waiting on my 45 brass 200 grain HP.:kidding:
I got my 358-135 HP monday and have only had a chance to cast up a couple hundred boolits. This is a swell mold. Mine is the RG2 version. Run it hot to start, and lower the temp as you go and you'll have a lot of nice boolits. It casts almost as fast as a conventional 2 cavity. It is so much better than the old Lyman HP molds that there is no comparison.

Very nice results and good looking boolits.
