I purchased 103lbs. of linotype lead in ingots. They were cut into about 6" pieces from a long ingot. Pieced together the ingots & they said eau claire press co. Also got 70 lbs. of small ingots with saeco on them and a H stamped on them. I think saeco was on the mold they were poured into. But don't know if they were storebought or someone just poured from eau claire press ingots. Got all the lead from same guy. Nice pinging sound when dropping ingots to concrete floor.
Plan on mixing linotype with range lead I pick up locally here. Not sure what the mixing rate will be tho.
Have to wait for the snow to stop coming down before I can process the lead.
Plan on casting for .380 & 40 s&w. Any info on mixtures would sure be nice. I have been casting 44 mag. with wheel weights & range lead mixture & am having no leading problems at all.
