I got my reloading dies and a 100gr Lee Mould in the mail today. What I am needing is some good load data of this round. My Lyman does not give a lot of data. The gun that I will be shooting is a Model 1892 Win rifle made in 1905 and bore sluged out at a little over 312. Thanks

Not sure what the pressure is but one likes a 120 gr cast with 5 gr of Unique. I have also had good results with 3 to 3.5 gr of Trailboss. The TB load is slow and quiet. The Unique load goes 1250 or so.
These are from a Marlin 1894 CL

Load data is at your fingertips. I"m doing the same thing now, looking for data for my Ruger Bisley,
Do a search for "32/20 load data" you should get enough to get you started and keep it going.

I am on the same quest... You might want to read "32-20 WINCHESTER CENTERFIRE 1882

by Paco Kelly" http://www.leverguns.com/articles/paco/3220wcf.htm. I understand him to say- " Be very gentle on the older guns- they can't take the pressures the modern guns can." There is some data there...Good luck to us both- Dale

Almost all the current manuals have data for this caliber. the Lee, and i believe the speer also, has 2 sections. one for the OLDER guns which you should follow, and the other for the newer rifles like what i shoot, a marlin CL. You will find plenty of data by doing any type of decent search, but I believe you want one if not both of these manuals eventually, just to protect that fine '05.

8.5 gn. 2400
Not hot but has been quite accurate in anything I have ever tried it in. Match bullet to bore dia and try up to plus .001.
If the 100 gn. bullet dosn't seem to want to group, try up to a 115 gn. bullet. The twist in the 1892's seem to want to go for the heavier bullet.

Give Green Dot a try. With a 115 grain bullet, I started with 3.5 grains of Green Dot, and worked up to 4.5. The sweet spot for me was 4.0 grains, and this is my small game / plinking load in my Marlin 1894 CL. (1.25" groups @ 5o yards).

Green Dot is often a little less expensive than most powders, and seems to be almost always available. I could never get the 4.5 - 5.5 Unique loads to shoot as accurately. But to be honest, my casting and reloading skills have probably improved since I tried Unique, and that may have something to do with it as well.

Here is something to get your interest peaked...cowboy silhouette with a 118 year old 32-20. I think I have seen this guy post here. Looks like a great bunch of guys and a lot of fun! Oh- they have more videos on shooting water jugs and Looong range steel too. It's all worth your time....Dale

I've built 4 or 5 with bubba'd Lee Enfields . cut the barrel ahead of the knox, turn it down and put in the bored out knox, chambered to it to 32-20 ( I use 2 different drill bits and some polishing in the lathe ) I know this all sounds very crude but they turn out pretty good. On the weekend we were shooting 3.8 gr hp38, 6.4 gr 2400 and some hotter 9ish grains of 2400. all with unchecked 115 gr lyman boolit. the hotter loads had a gas check or jacketed hollow points. all very accurate.

That sounds really neat!

I have a nice little '92 Winchester with a factory replacement "as new" condition barrel that just loves 9.0 grains of 2400 with a Lyman PB boolit (of about 115 grains from memory). A fairly "snappy" load, but it shoots well in my rifle with no leading ...

heres a couple pics of one of the previously bubba'd (I sware didn't do it) 32-20 Lee enfields. I ment to take a pic of where the barrel is turned down and inserted in the 2" stub and set screwed in place but I didn't, sorry.650966509565097

I forgot to add, I've also saved some "sporterized" L.E.'s by converting them to 22 hornet, 357 mag , 357 necked down to 8mm for an old styer barrel and I used a .50 cal muzzleloader barrel to make a Lee Enfield 12.7 x 44. theyre not all pretty but they work.

Ill share my 92 data and this is just for a 92! With a 120 lbt lfngc or a ballistic cast 115 swcgc both cast out of 5050 ww/lyno i use either 12 grains of a 2400 or 14 grains of wc820 (aa9) I use cci mag small pistol primers or cci small stand. rifle primers (same primer) Ive shot a couple whitetail doe with those loads and it seemed to kill as well as a 3030 with cast.

My model 53, which is just a fancied up 92, loves 9.5/2400 under Lyman 3118, ACWW, Felix lube. About 1550fps out of a 22" barrel. Next best is 5.5/Unique. Gives a little over 1400fps.
