Jeff,

Several guys that shoot small bore sillywet at our club really like the CZ rifles. I have heard of 50 yd groups of around 1/2".

I know of at least one person that replaced the trigger. I don't know all the details as to why.

My best group is 3/4" @50 yds scoped. I have the trainer with the beechwood stock and am very pleased. My son's friends call it "John's sniper rifle". Gianni.

Thanks Guys,as I said, this is on layaway, and I may switch it around if the gunshop will let me,to the Marlin 1895 Cowboy-not because I am into cowboy shooting, after all, cowboys haven't done a thing in the world to me!,BUT because I like the gun and think it would be great to hunt with.
Maybe I will wait until those relatives of the King Of Nigeria and benin come through with a real payoff!LOL!

The guys over at RimfireCentral.com like them pretty well.

Most do a trigger job on them & someone over there sells a kit for it. Haven't shot any of them, but I have been beat by them at silhouttes.

I've got a 453 american with 2x7 leupold, it also has a set trigger, I have shot 7/16'' at 50yds for 5 shots. Overall I like it very much but the set trigger is a little creepy but I think I can live with it.

Dollar for dollar, the CZ's are hard to beat after a trigger kit has been installed. Using good ammo (Wolf, SK, or RWS) less than 1/2" at 50 yd is easily possible (need enough scope though).

Very pleased with both 452 American's in 22LR & WMR. Best buy for the dollar... Would have to agree with all the previous posts; though have to admit they do their part better than I...

I consider my CZ 452 Classic American a Kimber at half price. I have an old B&L 4X scope on it and can shoot mostly 1" groups at 50 yd. all day with Federal bulk HP ammo. These under 2 cents a round HPs are devastating on ground squirrels. My rifle really likes Wolf Match Target ammo for best accuracy. Wolf averages 3/4" at 50 yd. I turned the trigger down as light as it would go safely. Now it has a slight creep, but I can use it as a very light two-stage
