OK, so this may be strange.... But I have a small tin of gass checks, and the packedge has a size stampped on it... but its lightly stammped, and I cant make out the last number it is 35x and I cant make out if its a 6 or a 8. its kinda half stamped. So how are gas checks mesured? if it is 358 would that be what the outside should mic up at? Is there eaven a bullet that would take a 356? These came with a bunch of reloading stuff I got from my dad, so Im not sure what he might have loaded back in the day Thanks for any help.

Those are likely .35 caliber checks that will fit any .35 caliber boolit, pistol or rifle.

If they fit the gas check shank of a 35 cal. boolit whether or not it is a .356,.357,.358, or even .360 or larger I would use them.Just run the boolit with the gas check on it through the correct sizer die......Terry

OK thanks for the info. As of yet I don't have a GC bullet mold, but I know at one time dad did and casted some for 357 mag. I'll hang onto them so if I do get one
