Gc -> pb?

Hello Folks,

I have several Lee six-cavity molds I would like to convert to plain base. Two are Ranch Dog molds (432265 & 460350) and the other is a Lee (452300). What is the best way to go about this? The one I'm most anxious to convert is the 432265. I asked Ranch Dog about this when I bought them, but he said he had already sold the tool he used for this job.

Hi Fellows,

Erik Ohlen promptly responded to my inquiry and told me the cost would be $25 setup and $5 per cavity, and that he would discount the setup to $15 for multiple molds. My three molds have now been shipped to him, with my check for $141 ($15x3 + $5x18 + $6 return sh). I'll let you know how they turn out when they are returned to me.

ouch..for that price, I'd have Tom make a clone that was plain based. No disrespect to Erik, but for that price you could have two different sets of molds to suit your fancy

Really? You know someone who will make six-cavity molds for $70, shipped.

Hmmm. I just checked for myself. For $147 + SH Accurate molds will make one aluminum five-cavity mold. This is a good price, and I've heard good things about the molds. But it doesn't make the deal with Erik look bad. No ouch!
