Dear All
often I have proplems when seating the boolit- it eather seats too deep, notdeep enough or crooked- dont ask why/ usind a Lee dies
and this came to mind
IF the fired case re-chambers normally- why not just reload, seat the boolit by hand and use a crimper to finish the job?
does anybodyv do somthing of the sort?
thanx for your responces....

Sizing is required to give neck tension to the bullet and keep it in place.

Take a fired case and slip the bullet into it and you will find that it will drop right to the bottom of the case without neck tension.

Depends upon what you're reloading. I don't size any of my straight-wall BP cases. For those I seat bullet against the compressed powder charge and crimp very lightly..just enough to hold the bullet in the case...using a Lee Factory-Crimp Die. For bottleneck smokeless cases, after neck-sizing I bell the case mouth slightly (Lee Universal Expander) before seating bullet and crimp with either a taper or collet-type die.
