Hoping someone can give me some guidance here. I'm getting a burr on the rim of the case head. Some are more pronounced, some are just chewed up and rough on the rim.
I had a burr on the loading gate and got that I believe filed off. I can't feel it anymore at least.
But where's the next place to look?
It seems as if the burr, when I eject and catch the shell is on top. Could the bolt be rubbing the case head causing the burr?
Thanks for any info someone can give me.

Sorry for the blurry pics, phone camera sucks.

How about the extractor?

I wondered if it'd be caused by the extractor....

Have a look at the extractor. it probably has a burr on the edge.

Thanks W.R. I'm getting ready to head to the shop and look at it here in a minute.

Take a sharpie and put a mark on the edge of the case. Then cycle the case but pay attention to where the mark is in relation to the chamber. Then when you eject the case, you can see where the burr is in relation to the sharpie mark. This will give you better insite as to where the burr is being made.

Looks like i got it fixed. The extractor, had alot of brass built up on it. I took a small file to it, rubbing it on the edges, there was a burr on the bolt right beside the ejector also. Took a sharpie, and marked the brass, and the brass was ok when I ejected it.
So lets hope the problem is fixed.
