A generous buddy gave me between two and three hundred pounds of 1/16 thick lead sheet in about a four foot tall roll. This was leftover material from a job installing x-ray shielding in a clinic. As far as I know this is pure lead - so it's too soft for most casting applications. Anyone got a formula for alloying this stuff to make it suitable for boolit casting? I envision smelting the lead sheet to produce ingots, just like I do with wheel weights. Perhaps alloying should happen while making ingots for the production pot?
Thanks,
Sudboy
