311466 is an excellent bullet but it is a Loverin design. If your 300 Savage has the throat for it and you can seat so the top of the GC stays inside the case neck it will do very well, especially if the 300 Savage has the 12" twist. I use it extensively in my .308Ws but I size the 1st 2 drive bands down to .300 to keep the GC inside the necks for best accuracy at HV.

you'll definatly have to make a couple and see.
i have a nei copy and my savage 30-30 loves it.
if i pour it with a 4/6/90 alloy i can use it in some of my 31 cal rifles.
in fact i picked up an accurate mold that's bigger and heavier to fill in some of the 31's that showed promise with the lighter lyman version.
anyway the guns it chambers in [and the gas check stays above the neck] shoots them very well, other guns just won't chamber it.

Let's get together and do some shooting or casting or a cup of coffee and some BS?
