I have a couple of nice old revolvers in 38 S&W that I would like to reload for. Can anyone tell me a nice, safe load to use? They are smokeless powder era guns as far as I know. TIA.

Since posting this, I have found some older postings that pretty well answer my question. Thanks.

I love shooting the 38 S&W out of my Webley MK IV! I wish there were some modern made top breaks.

Not .38, but I have a 2000 made S&W Schofield Model 3. They didn't make near enough of them. That one makes three for me: An old 32S&W H&R hammerless, an H&R 999 Sportsman, and the Schofield.

Larry: You can find an H&R Top-break .38 S&W manufactured during the 1960's. They were moderately priced and fairly robust.
Keep looking for one.

Hornady Hollow based wad cutters are going to be your friend. My"War Finish" Webley loves them!
I too wish there were some modern break-tops made.
