Since I'm not completely familiar with the internal working of a Marlin 1894, can anyone tell me if a loose loading gate is a big issue to resolve. It seems as if the loading gate spring is broken or has slipped from its proper location or perhaps the door itself has slipped from the "pivot point" inside of the receiver. The rifle is for sale and trying to figure the repair into the final sale price - Thanks for your time - Bill L

Not a big issue at all. You will probably need to disassemble the rifle to do it, though- maybe a 30 minute job all together. If the screw or spring is broken, replacements are available from Brownell's, Midway, ect...

Instructions on disassembly here (http://www.marlinowners.com/forum/how-disassemble-clean/21526-1894c-disassembly.html)

With 1894's, some blue Loctite is your friend...use it on receiver screws.

If it is only loose it needs a few seconds from a properly fitting screwdriver.

Nothing in a Marlin internally is difficult to replace.
