Anyone try this one in 300 blackout in an AR15. 1:8 twist type. It looks like a good one to me. Like to see comments before I buy one.

I tried it.
It fits the cartridge well.

I'm shooting a pistol length gas tube, a carbine might do better.
I couldn't get it to shoot without leading up the gas system!
I'm still trying, I put it up to work on the 311247 for a while.
So far no supersonic load has not froze the bolt after ~ 60 rounds.
I need to try 1680 still, don't have much though, but so far 5477 has been a fail, if it cycles the bolt it leads.
Lil Gun is out too.

Nobody else try it?

I would really like to have a 4 or 6 up mold for blackout in the 140 to 160 weight.

Well, I use the lee version of the boolit without problem. 16 grains of lil gun or h110 works good. I couldnt tell you why Frozone is getting leading in his gas tube unless he is using the boolit without a gas check. I have had no problems with gas tube leading. In fact, I shot over 400 rounds in one session before cleaning. Mostly carbon build up on the bolt, but not any worse than many of the jacketed loads I have shot.

No, they're checked.
If fact, I used both copper and aluminum checks - same result.

I had almost Hoped it was a burr at the gasport but it shoots the 311247 just fine - and I don't even need to check that one :-0

I just cast up a new batch - WDWW sized .310, and checked. I'm going to keep trying.

I am using a pistol length gas tube, but Should help the problem. I don't have to spank things as hard to keep the pressure up down the pipe.

I have tried the lee 312-155 2r in both a rifle with carbine gas, and a pistol with pistol gas length. I am using WDWW alloy with a little bit of tin, sized .309. The lee .311 sizer was a little to big for reliable function sometimes. The pistol does get a little dirtier than the carbine gassed gun. Never plugged it up at all since I have put it together last year.
