I got these,there are two of them identical in a box of reloading stuff. It's a 1 inch die size, would need an adapter to fit in my press. The bushing inside appear to be brass and has extreme rifling or a twisted groove formed in the brass insert. It looks almost like it might be used to swage a very deep rifled groove into a boolit. Perhaps it twists some other tool that fits into it?

I have no clue.

Hello, oldtool..most of the older cast-iron reloading presses were tapped for the 1" dies..for reloading shotgun shells..the smaller 7/8X14 threaded bushing fit inside. What you have there is a shotgun slug rifling swage.
