I loaded a bunch of 45 Long Colts for a friend with:
Mag Tech LP
Lee 45 255 SWC
6.1 Red Dot
780 fps according to the chrono.
He was amazed with his accuracy out of his Astra out to 100 yards.

My 7 1/2" bbl Ruger Super Blackhawks always shot the 255 gr. RCBS bullet well with 6 gr. of Red Dot.Robert

My 4 5/8 inch Ruger 45 Colt likes 5.2 grains of Red dot behind the RCBS 45 270 saa boolit. Launch speed is around 650 fps and produces 3-4 inch groups at 50 yards.

The last couple of years I have been using a lot of the stuff. My wifes 357 with the Lee RNFP 158 likes 4.5grs, my 44spec with the KeithSWC likes 5grs best and my 45colt with a 270 gr likes 6 grs.
