Ok, I live in the peoples republic of tax it all MA. Lead is hard to come by. I needed a source for PURE lead for my 584 mini's for the original Springfield 1863 I just bought....called around and no luck until I went into a plumbing supply house. $112 later I had all the pure lead bricks they had.
ok If my wife is listening 'I'm sorry Honey, but I REALLY needed it."
I think it's about 25 or 30 pounds.

I just came home from the range, and the Lee .577/500 mould that I opened up last night by lapping it, (now .584 ) put them all in a 2 + inch circle at 50 dead center.
Nice old gun....Now it's mine! Ken s

Check the Swapping and Selling section of the forum... Many offers to sell lead much cheaper than $ 4 / lb. Many offers are around $ 1.00 / lb.

There probably be some guys that could use some 58 stuff. You can post for wanting to buy (WTB) or want to trade (WTT) or boolit exchange forum and get what you need without having to pay such a rippoff price. Ya got a supply for a while now but just a reminder for next time. 10

Wow! $3+/# is spendy. You would be better off ordering form Rotometals if you can't find pure scrap lead.
