Doug must like his new machine because he's cranking out those special orders. I'll have about half in the mail this afternoon and the rest out quick as I can.

..............Hot damn! I need to get my 58 cal Pritchit mould out and drain off that pure lead in the pot. I need to cast up some of the 6.5's, the just recieved 311440, and be in a position to crank off these new C312-155's.

WELL if it ain't Christmas in August! I got mine looks very good, I would say even better than the 35 cal 6 banger from the last group buy. Now if it shoots as good as it looks. I am thinking I should have ordered 2 as I am now commited to casting for 4 K31's. A couple of my buds came by the other night and wanted boolits............ I gave them enough to keep them busy this weekend, they left me 3K of GC's.
I hope this takes the work out of part of it, lol. I think I see another group buy for GC's that is going to be needed before the snow flies.
Many thanks to all that made this possible.
If it had only came a day sooner, but did get 2K of some 375, 35 and 30's cast this AM. Who says working on Saturdays sucks. Pay me 1 1/2 for amking boolits ya gotta love it. Started at 3:30AM and was getting low on alloy by 10:00 AM.
Ken, I swear I am gonna get ya for this!!!!............................... (grin)
Jeff

BTW, what nose punch works for this?
Thanks again guys, ALL of you.

Well, it is here. I poured a coffee can full and some more. Off to inspection.

Diamater, .313 to .314. Weight 151.3 to 151.8 for all 6 cavities. Sized and lubed a few hundred. I haven't loaded any YET, but will tomorrow morning to see how they shoot in my 308 and Enfield.

I used top punch #115 RCBS. It works Purfect! It takes the slightly squared off front and puts a nice radius on it that makes the boolit look even better.

I poured 3 or 4 to get the mold warm, then I cleaned it with an aresol solvent, Called Wellworth Shop Kleen, or Castle shop solve. Poured 5 or 6 more, whipped out my butane lighter and smoked the cavities. Perfect boolits every time after that. None stuck in the mold and no wrinkles. Nice sharp bands. If I didn't hold the handles tight when pouring, I was getting finned boolits. Today I am using 9 lbs wheelweights and one lb 50/50 solder.

Thanks Again
David

Got mine yesterday!!!! Man that sucker looks good!!! If it cast good, and I think it will I may have to change my mind about Lee molds

Thanks a lot.

Jake, the Lee six holers are a lot better than the one and two holers, and the custom runs are better than the production six holers. Lee has their top man on the custom runs, and he just got a brand new machine.

This mold arrived today. I already cast few boolits with it together with few other molds. This was the fastest one of the bunch for sure. This is my first Lee 6-cavity and I'm pretty much surprised about the quality of this mold; totally different than one and two cavity Lee molds. It needs some tuning alright, but only in order to improve releasing; smoking seems to help, but there's few cavities offending me just a bit beyond the line. Many thanks Leftoverdj for handling this one; Your efforts are highly appreciated. Oh yes, this was the fastest one; the easiest one was old Lyman SC 311466 and the most productive this time was Lyman DC 314299; I guess I think I need those 299's quite badly in the near future...

Finn, I'm delighted that it got there so fast. No trouble with customs, I hope?

I get pretty good results using a pencil eraser on the edges of the cavities to get any little burrs. At the price, I expect to have to do a little handwork and much prefer to do it myself than to pay to have it done.

btw, the last one left is spoken for and the check may be in my mailbox. That's all, folks.

Well the mould arrived today in great shape. Thanks for all your work. I've got three new 6-holers to try this weekend. Got a new 20lb Lee pot to go with them. Thanks again. Mel

Hi, This one went super smooth i.e. it arrived to my mail box without unnecessary 140 mile roundtrip to nearest office to chit chat this and that just for nothing. Yes, this will be tuned up easily, but yesterday when I was setting up the gear this one arrived as a surprise, so couldn't resist to add it on the queue right away . Thanks again.

My mould showed up last night. Thank you so much for all the hard work you put in organizing this group buy and such. I'm surprised at the quality difference between LEE's one and two holers and this six holer. Now to make time to get some bullets cast out of it.

Thanks again.

Are there any 'extras'? Or, did anyone get one and now doesn't want it? Seems like I flat missed out on this'un.... sundog

Sorry, Sundog. I ordered 15 extras and every last one was spoken for before delivery. Several people did buy multiples and one of them may be kindhearted.
