The stork should be bringing me a brand new baby......A Lyman Great Plains Rifle .54 with 1-60" twist. I can't wait!

But I refuse to breast feed!!!

a very reliable accurate gun, good for deer antelope and elk. also not expensive to shoot so all the plinking and targets you want. have fun. the 1/60 twist is perfect for the roundball .54.

Excellent gun for the money! Lots of info. available here and on other ML forums about tuning the lock and set triggers. Neither is real difficult to do, as it involves polishing rather than metal removal.

Huh. To bad you luck didn't bring you twins. Both models. Rifle and Hunter versions. But one is better than none. Advice from Dr. Over/Max. "Burp it allot after its feeding with powder & ball." ___Congrats.

Lol....burping and moose milk it shall be. If it shoots like I hear it will it's sibling may arrive shortly thereafter.

Mike I truly think my GPR is my faverite shooter.I know you will love yours.Mine took
a little break in as most people told me it would.But after that it is a tack driver.

Fly (ps) people will tell you to change nipple,but no need.
Just take it down some with emery paper, if your caps are tight.
Works great after that.

I ordered a Treso Ampco nipple. Hear they are great. Any good ball size and patch combos that work especially well?

I've got one coming too. Just got the email today that it was shipped and should be here Tuesday. Mines a .50 cal. percussion. I have a Hot Shot nipple for it already and am waiting until the end of the month to order a Davis Deerslayer trigger. I found a muzzleloader club relatively close by that holds monthly offhand matches that sound like fun.

When I called he said it does and the description on the website says it does. They're out of stock right now but they said call towards the end of the month and they'll either have some or put me on a list.

OUCH! I am pretty low-tech. No Camera. I think they are a fad and won't catch on. I can draw a purdy pitcher though...LOL
