My father-in-law has an Ohaus 30-150-S mold and was asking me to do some research on it to find out exactly what round it was designed to make. There is very little information on the internet regarding Ohaus molds. Any help on this is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If it casts large enough, e.g., .311" - .312", it can be used in a variety of .30cal. rifles, including the K-31 Swiss (albeit @.309"). That design performed very well in my Marlin 336 .30-30Win, btw.

That is Ohaus's version of the 311-466, a nominal 155 grain Loverin style RN bullet.
It is a favorite of mine, I have used it in the 30-30, the 30-06, the 30-40, and the 7.62x39. I have had very good results with it in my 1953 vintage Model 94 Winchester. According to an older Lyman manual, it was designed to cast at .312. I have a dual Cavity Lyman and a 4 cavity NOE that have both seen a bit of use. The 3rd Edition Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook has loading data for virtually every 30 caliber round from the 300 Savage up to the 7.7 Jap.

Thank you all for the information. I recently purchased a Lee Enfield No.1 MkIII .303 and when I mentioned this to my father-in-law, he thought that this mold may be a good option but wasn't sure since he had never cast using this mold. He had picked it up decades ago in a bulk reloading buy. I made about 20 or so boolits with this mold last night before I took pictures of it. Using my calipers, they measured .309 at the widest area. I was hoping to use these in my .303 however when looking at my Lyman manual, the only cast option for .303 was a 200gr. boolit. This one is a 155gr. Bummer.

weight isn't your problem diameter is.
i have a nei copy of that mold and use it in my savage 30-30 bolt gun.
i also upgrade the alloy and use it in my 7.7 and 7.65.
i can get mine to make 313 easily and it might see some time in my 303's eventually.

Looks like I'm going to have to get the Lyman #314299 for the .303. I hear good things about it and the diameter is right. Thanks for the information.
