I have the opportunity to buy a LV stainless barrel in 6PPC from the estate of a avid benchrest shooter. If I buy it, I would put it on a Remington 700 and rechamber to 6mmbr since I don't the correct bolt size for the PPC

I would like to shoot cast boolits out of it. How heavy of bullet would it stablelize since it in 1 in 14 twist.

I would appreciate your learned opinions.

How fast do you want to shoot the cast bullet? Velocity is a part of the equation.

There's twist rate calculators online. One is here (http://www.bergerbullets.com/litz/TwistRuleAlt.php).

I like the NOE 75gr. one in my 1:14 twist 6mm-222. I used to have a 6X47 Rem 40X with a 1:14 barrel and I can testify that it absolutely will not work with the 95gr. RCBS boolits no matter how fast I pushed them.

There aren't many choices for light cast boolits in 6mm, but that NOE one is a good 'un.
