Good for you Lloyd! Have always wanted a 300H&H, preferably in a Mod 70 however.

So where's our pictures - I like the romance/nostalgia with H&H rounds, makes me think of a better era.

Just curious, Lloyd, why the H&H over the Win Mag? The Win mag can be downloaded to any velocity the H&H will do plus the capability to do more. Also, brass is more readily available. Not knocking your choice, just wondering why.

Nice, Lloyd! I know you'll enjoy that.

A few years back, there was a guy on here with a signature line of

"375 H&H; one planet, one caliber."

Wow! You sure got the 30 calibers covered. When do you buy the next gun safe?

One of these days I expect lloyd to announce he found a rifle chambered in the .50/20mm round  Some of those bean fields can be a real looooong way across .

Nice find, "classic" cartridge. I found a 220 Swift in the 700 Classic model, about the same year it got released. It was in the used rack, but looked brand new, just missing the filler screws. I think I got lucky at the $350 out the door price, because the ammo was tough to find back then. Funny you folks mentioned the only 2 other claibers that I'd be interested in finding someday, the Whelen and the 300 H&H in that series - Hope it shoots as well as it looks - Good luck - Bill in MA
